"Mrs. Teri is the best dance teacher I have ever had. Not only is she an amazing teacher, but she is a wholesome and beautiful person. She not only builds students up as dancers but as people - encouraging students to see the beauty in themselves and in dance. Mrs. Teri has taught me the fundamental building blocks of dance - how to be in tune with my body, how to practice and take care of my body - so as to be able to dance for the long-term - and how to engage in movement as a way to breath and redirect energy and passion. The ballet technique Mrs. Teri has taught me will help me going forward in all styles of dance. Dancing and learning from Mrs. Teri never ceased to put an endless smile on my face. She is truly one of the most amazing, strong, beautiful, and wonderful individuals I have ever met."

From the moment our students walked in the door, Ms. Teri offered a safe environment in which our students wanted to be active participants. She has a way of encouraging children to laugh, take a risk and try something new, and further build upon their strengths; yielding an atmosphere of confidence and fun. Ms Teri shows dedication to students, education, and her craft. Her creativity and ability to connect with children and adults makes her lessons a valuable asset, ensuring our teachers and students will continue learning about the arts in future curriculum goals.

I’ve known Teri going on 5 years now and have had the privilege of working alongside her, and learning from her. We met working with The Latin Ballet of Virginia where since then I’ve witnessed her transform the junior company dancers in a beautiful and positive way, on and off stage.
Since then I’ve participated in her Ballet Master class she gave for RPS dance teachers. Her expertise, knowledge, and experience is a tremendous value for our profession and I hope she continues to inspire us so we can become the best version of us for our students as she is for hers.
Everything from her approach to her delivery of instruction would be of great benefit for any young dancer, especially one who wants to be professional. Her knowledge of anatomy and kinesiology, and advocacy for being aware and comfortable with their bodies, makes her a tremendous asset for her students well being as well as their talent and growth as dancers.

The Binford Dance Company had the privilege of working with guest artist Teri Buschman for the 2019-2020 season. She choreographed a full company piece exploring the five elements of Chinese Philosophy. The students were totally engaged at every rehearsal and were able to learn about another culture through movement. Teri worked extremely well with all the dancers, highlighting their strengths and creating a piece that the students and audiences loved
